This was good, but the video was too close shots and you can not see the whole movement. And it would be nice if you moved a bit slower so I can fallow.
Yin & Yang Living (5 months ago)
we tried to give different angles, sorry you couldn't see full shots, but your movements do not have to be exactly the same

what is right for one sided paralysis
Yin & Yang Living (1 year ago)
what a great question. As I am not the qigong expert, perhaps you would like to reach out to JoAnna and ask her yourself. What I would do is do the movements with the side you can move and not worry about the other side. You will receive benefit from doing that alone, just keep your mind present and grateful because Qigong, like yoga or any energy practices, are really about the mind, the body is secondary because it will always follow the mind.

Hello, I was wondering if you can advice some Quigong movements for sleep disorder for elderly people in sitting position.  Thank you
Yin & Yang Living (1 year ago)
good question. There is no qigong specifically for ailments like sleep disorder. Qigong is to move energy to promote overall good health.

Stephanie McDaniel (2 years ago)
Would this be good exercise for someone with a traumatic brain injury and has limited lower body mobility?
Yin & Yang Living (2 years ago)
Stephanie McDaniel the movements are mild. Qigong is really about combining the movements with the mind to make it most effective. The movements are mild and flowing but check with your doctor
Stephanie McDaniel (2 years ago)
I'll be more clear in my question. You can assume this person with the TBI is lucid, but is relearning to use muscles and at this time rebuilding core strength, but no lower extremity movement. I want to suggest Qigong exercise to help him but I don't have enough knowledge.

you're welcome Nicki. I also have health issues, so the best remedy for healing is healing the mind, cause the body will follow suit Of course, right diet and exercise are very important but the mind is the most important. Many healing energies your way

I am so happy you showed Qigong in a sitting position. I just had two surgeries and am unable to stand for long periods of time. Now I can use Qigong in a sitting position and I followed the video. Afterwards I felt relaxed and can do this throughout the day. This is wonderful!

1 question: does it work?
Seer King (3 years ago)
Theres Chi gong for all organs and all parts of the body, just never thought of using it for my thyroids and anxiety.
Yin & Yang Living (3 years ago)
+Seer King qigong is for overall health so I do not know of qigong practice for those specific things, but I can be wrong so please check with a Qigong expert like JoAnna.
Seer King (3 years ago)
+Yin & Yang Living theres many things thats been around for ages but are false and lies....anyway is there a chi gong practice for anxiety and thyroids without hurting myself.
Yin & Yang Living (3 years ago)
+Jason Auw Good question, Jason. Qigong has been around forever--ancient Chinese medicine/healing practice--so if it didn't work, it would not be around for that long because fake doesn't last for very long. The other important factor to look as is your belief. It is a scientific fact that your mind controls your body, which is why when people become stressed, they get ill. So if you do not believe that Qigong works, it will not work for you. You must believe and combined with the healing powers of Qigong, yes, it works.
