10 Korean Secrets to Make Your Skin Younger and Healthier

29544 ratings | 1308166 views
At the age of 50, Korean women and men look 30 years younger, and their skin radiates health and youth. How is this possible?! Korean cosmetics and skincare routines are known as one of the best ones in the whole world. We admire the beauty of the Korean people, and here are some of their secret tips. Did you know you could use a lemon as a beauty remedy? TIMESTAMPS The 10-second rule 0:37 Hot towel massage 1:11 Jamsu 1:46 Shaving foam against acne 2:27 Seaweed for your face 3:02 Salt facial tonic 3:35 Anti-pimple patch 4:16 Soy milk 4:49 Silkworm cocoons 5:27 Lemons to make your skin lighter 6:06 #koreancosmetic #koreanbeauty #lookyoung SUMMARY - To make your skin look clean, healthy, and fresh, apply moisturizing cream 10 seconds after your shower. Your skin pores open after a shower, so the cream is absorbed faster. One way to do it is to gently pat your face with the towel, leaving it only a little bit watery and then apply moisturizing cream. - Soak a soft towel in hot water, cover your clean face with it, and gently rub along the massage lines. After 15 minutes, take the towel off. Apply natural nourishing oil to the skin. This procedure enhances blood circulation, opens the pores, and helps the skin breathe. - An original way to quickly set your makeup and make your skin look matte and tender. Start by putting on your makeup and richly coating your face in powder, then submerge your face in a bowl of cold water for 15-30 seconds. - Apply the foam to your clean face, lightly massaging it with your fingertips. Keep it on for 5-10 minutes, and then wash it off. Perform the procedure once or twice a week. Korean women regard men’s shaving foam as one of the best ways to fight periodical facial eruptions because it possesses antiseptic properties. - Seaweed has a lot of vitamins and other components with powerful antibacterial properties that take care of your skin and preserve its youth, producing metabolism in the bloodstream and rejuvenating the skin. - The recipe for this tonic for problematic skin is simple: add 1 tablespoon of sea salt to 1 glass of warm water, and give it a good stir. After every washing, wipe your skin with a cotton pad moistened in the tonic. Sea salt is widely known for its positive effect on the skin and is frequently used in various beauty recipes and even skin therapies. - Korean anti-pimple patch is a real hit among the fashion conscious! Inconspicuous on the skin and under makeup, these tiny patches cleanse the face of any pimples in a couple of days. Due to its special antiseptic composition, the patch isolates and cures a pimple, soothing the inflammation in record time — overnight in most cases. - In Asia, soy milk is actively employed in cosmetic remedies, professional and homemade alike. One of the oldest and easiest recipes goes as follows: dampen a gauze pad with soy milk, and leave it on your clean face for 15-20 minutes. Do this once or twice a week. - Silkworm cocoons have been used for ages as a natural remedy to cleanse the skin deeply. Put them on your index fingers, and massage your clean skin for 10-15 minutes. - Cut a lemon in half, and squeeze the juice into a bowl. Using a cotton ball, apply the undiluted lemon juice onto your skin. You can do this several times a day. The citric acid contained in lemons has exfoliating properties and removes dead skin, pigmentation spots, and excess oil and dirt. Some of the beauty hacks are true but that's if you are using it for many years. Always remember we all humans has different skin types. And it's all about genetics as well.

I think that's why Koreans have glass skin, is it because of the food they eat. They almost fresh and raw materials. They also have a cold weather there.

Don't want to be rude, but most of the tips sound ridiculous. Though, I have to admit the patches are quite popular among teens. And, yes, you can get the cocoon thingy here. I never tried one though. And I'm 100% Korean. :P

I don't like the idea of using lemon on my face. Are potatoes equally as strong as lemons?
Kevin dunova (9 months ago)
That's right, all us Koreans have perfect skin and shove our faces in ice water and cover them in seaweed and shaving cream. How did you know?!?!
Margarita Peeva (10 months ago)
If you apply lemon juice like this, it may cause your skin to burn in the sunlight as lemon essential oil is sooooooo prone to give you sensitivity to light! Jesus, check your facts!
Amy Lou (10 months ago)
Bad impression to the video straight away, your pores do not open up after a shower; they don't open or close because It's not a muscle.
Foods & Meds (10 months ago)
That's so true about Korean cosmetic industry and women looking younger, I can never tell their age! :)
Ajmeri Promi (10 months ago)
I agree that Lemon has natural anti properties but it also ruin ph balance of your skin So using it 3 / 4 times in a day Doesn't make sense

I used to use lemons on my face too, UNTIL I found out that lemons are skin very sensitive to the sun.
GERGANA (11 months ago)
Be careful when applying lemon to your skin, dark spots may appear when exposed to sun rays. Recommended at night but may itch you...
alek14p (11 months ago)
Interesting! Worth giving some a try. Personally I've tried lemons & see results, it feels good as well after rinsing with cold water. Other factors for good looking skin start with eating a healthy diet, drinking plenty of water, No smoking! getting moderate exercise, washing your face daily. Also wear sunscreen everyday & exfoliate. Occasional cosmetic aspects such a facials, chemical peels, or Botox injections do wonders as well. The best medicine in the world is prevention.

The best skin care products you can get are in the grocery store. Eat less processed foods and more fruits and veggies. Healing yourself and your skin from the inside out is the best way to go. The best example is the 70-something-year old Annette Larkins. Look at her skin, her age and her diet... unbelievable!
